Introducing Duo and Family plans
I'm pleased to announce two new plans for addy.io: Duo and Family. They let one person pay for full Pro on more than one account, so couples, households, and small groups can each keep their own privacy setup without managing separate subscriptions.
Why Duo and Family?
Plenty of people already use addy.io for themselves and then recommend it to a partner, family member, or close friend. Until now, each person needed their own Lite or Pro subscription. That works, but it means more bills and a higher combined cost.
Duo and Family fix that. One owner pays, invites the others by username, and everyone on the plan gets the full Pro feature set on their own independent account.
The plans
Duo
- 2 members total (you + 1)
- $4.50 / month when billed yearly ($54 / year), or $6 / month billed monthly
- Ideal for couples or two people who both want Pro
Family
- 5 members total (you + 4)
- $7.50 / month when billed yearly ($90 / year), or $10 / month billed monthly
- Ideal for households or a small group of people you trust

Benefits
Full Pro for every member
Each seat includes everything in Pro: unlimited shared-domain aliases, more recipients, custom domains, additional usernames, rules, higher reply/send limits, unlimited bandwidth, priority support, Perks, and the rest of the Pro feature set.
Independent accounts
This is not a shared inbox. Aliases, recipients, usernames, and settings stay private to each person by default. You get the savings and convenience of one bill without mixing your mail setup with anyone else's.
One subscription, one bill
The owner manages a single subscription. Members do not need their own paid plan while they remain on Duo or Family.
Better value than buying Pro separately
Compared with separate yearly Pro subscriptions ($36 each):
- Duo yearly is $54 instead of $72 for two Pro plans (25% saving)
- Family yearly is $90 instead of $180 for five Pro plans (50% saving)
How it works
- Subscribe to Duo or Family from the subscription page in your account.
- Invite members by their existing addy.io username.
- They accept the invite and get full Pro while they remain on your plan.
A few practical notes:
- Members need an addy.io account before you can invite them.
- If someone already has their own paid subscription, they need to cancel it before accepting (any unused time on that subscription is not carried over).
- Duo and Family can be billed by card / PayPal (monthly or yearly) or cryptocurrency (yearly only). They are not available via the App Store / Play Store.
- If a member leaves or is removed, their account returns to the Free plan.

New to addy.io? Create a free account, then choose Duo or Family when you subscribe.
Already subscribed? You can switch to Duo or Family from your subscription settings when you are ready.
